He went on to dedicate more than 32 years to law enforcement, retiring as a Louisiana State Police Sergeant. Throughout his career, John served communities across Louisiana, trained law enforcement officers, and earned national recognition for his expertise in criminal interdiction.

John Trahan, Jr. is a Veteran, retired Louisiana State Police Sergeant, business owner, nationally recognized instructor, and respected law enforcement leader with over 32 years of experience serving communities across Louisiana. Throughout his career, John has built a reputation for professionalism, integrity, and service. Among his many accomplishments, John was nationally recognized as the #1 Criminal Interdiction Officer in the United States and has trained law enforcement officers at the local, state, national, and international levels. His leadership has always centered on one mission: Protecting people, supporting officers, and strengthening communities. Now, John is ready to bring that same proven leadership to Youngsville.
